MOBILE APPS

Mobile Apps People Actually Keep on Their Phone

An app is the only asset where your customer has to make a decision before they even use it: install this, and give it space on a screen that already has too much. That decision is the whole game.

We build apps that earn that space — because they save time, remember who you are, or do something a website simply can't. And when an app isn't the right answer, we'll tell you that too, before you spend the budget.

What We Build
  • Customer-facing apps — ordering, booking, tracking, loyalty and account-based products
  • Internal and field apps — for drivers, technicians, sales teams and warehouse staff
  • Marketplace and multi-vendor apps — with separate flows for buyers, sellers and admins
  • E-commerce apps — extending an existing store into a faster mobile experience
  • Progressive web apps — app-like experiences with no app store and no download friction
  • App redesigns and rescues — taking over a build that stalled or a product that needs a rebuild
Native, Cross-Platform or PWA?

The build approach changes cost, timeline and what’s possible. We pick it with you, not for you.

Native — separate iOS and Android apps in each platform’s own language. Best performance and deepest access to device features. Highest cost, because two codebases get built and maintained. Right when the app is graphics-heavy or leans hard on hardware.

Cross-platform — both apps from one shared codebase. Faster and cheaper, and the interface still feels native. For most business apps, this is the sensible default.

Progressive web app — a website that behaves like an app: installable from the browser, works offline, sends notifications on most platforms. No app store review, one codebase, no install friction. Covers more ground than people expect for content, booking and account products.

What’s Included
  • Discovery and feature scoping — what goes in version one, and what waits
  • UI/UX design for every screen, in both platform conventions where relevant
  • Full development and backend/API work
  • Third-party integrations — payments, maps, messaging, analytics, your existing systems
  • Testing on real devices, not just simulators
  • App Store and Google Play submission, including listing assets and review handling
  • Analytics setup so you can see what people actually do in the app
  • Full source code ownership
How We Approach It

We start with one question. What does the app let a customer do that a fast mobile website couldn’t? If the honest answer is “nothing, but it’d look professional”, we’ll say so. Apps that exist for credibility get deleted.

Version one does one thing extremely well. Every extra feature in the first release multiplies cost, delays launch and adds bugs — usually to support behaviour nobody has confirmed yet. We ship the core value with real polish, then let usage data shape version two.

We plan for the store, not just the build. Store listing, screenshots, first-run experience and how existing customers will hear about it — decided before development ends, not after.

We budget for the years after launch. An app isn’t a finished asset; it’s a product that needs releases. OS updates alone require work every year. We say this upfront rather than after the invoice.

Our Process

1. Discovery. Users, workflows, platforms, integrations and the single action that represents the core value.

2. Design. Wireframes first, then full UI across every screen and state — including empty, loading and error states most projects forget.

3. Development. Built in sprints with regular builds you can install and try yourself. No long silences.

4. Testing. Real devices across screen sizes and OS versions, plus performance, offline behaviour and security checks.

5. Launch. Store submission, review handling, and support through the first release.

6. After launch. Analytics review, bug fixes, and a roadmap for version two based on what users actually did.

When a Website Is the Better Investment

If your customers interact with you a few times a year, an app will be deleted before its second use. Occasional purchases, one-off services and information-led businesses are usually better served by a fast mobile website — discoverable in search, no install needed, updates instantly, far cheaper to maintain.

We build those too, so we have no reason to push you toward the bigger project.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an app cost?
It varies enormously, because “an app” covers wildly different things. The main drivers are the number of user roles and screens, whether you need a custom backend, payments and integrations, and offline behaviour. We give a firm figure after the discovery stage.

How long does it take?
A focused first release is typically [8–14 weeks] from discovery to store submission. More complex products take longer, and we’ll say so before we start.

Do you build for both iOS and Android?
Yes. Cross-platform gets you both from one codebase; native means two builds. We’ll recommend based on what your app needs to do.

Do I own the app and its code?
Yes. Source code, backend and store accounts are yours.

Can you take over an app someone else started?
Often. We audit the existing codebase first and tell you honestly whether continuing or rebuilding is the better use of your money.

What happens after launch?
Post-launch support is included for [X] days. After that, we offer maintenance plans covering OS updates, bug fixes and new features.
