SEO That Brings in Customers, Not Just Traffic

Ranking for a term nobody searches is easy. Ranking for the terms your customers actually type — and turning those visits into enquiries — is the work.

We do SEO the way it actually functions now: fix what's technically broken, target searches with real buying intent, publish content genuinely worth ranking, and report on numbers tied to your business rather than a list of keywords that flatter the invoice.

What We Do
  • Technical SEO — crawl errors, site speed, indexing, mobile usability, structured data
  • Keyword and intent research — the terms your customers use, ranked by opportunity not volume
  • On-page optimisation — titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, image alt text
  • Content strategy — what to write, in what order, and which existing pages to update instead
  • Local SEO — Google Business Profile, local citations, review strategy, location pages
  • E-commerce SEO — category and product page structure, faceted navigation, duplicate content
  • Link building — earned through genuinely useful content and legitimate outreach
  • Monthly reporting — rankings, traffic, and the conversions that came from it
Where We Start: The Audit

Every engagement begins with a full audit, because guessing is expensive. It covers:

  • Technical health — what’s blocking crawling, indexing or speed
  • On-page state — missing or duplicate titles, thin pages, broken heading structure
  • Content gaps — questions your customers search that your site doesn’t answer
  • Competitor comparison — what’s ranking above you and why
  • Backlink profile — what you have, and anything toxic worth disavowing
  • Priority action plan — split into quick wins and longer-term work

You get the audit as a document you keep, whether or not you continue with us.

How We Approach It

Fix the foundation first. There’s no point publishing content on a site Google struggles to crawl or that takes six seconds to load. Technical work comes before content work, always.

Specific beats broad. “Web design” is dominated by sites with a decade of authority. “How much does a small business website cost” gets fewer searches, far higher intent and a realistic chance of ranking. We build from the specific outward.

Update before you publish. Existing pages with some authority usually gain more from a thorough refresh than a brand new page gains from zero. It’s the highest-return habit in SEO and the least practised.

Rankings aren’t the point. Position three for a keyword that produces no enquiries is worse than position eight for one that produces five. We report on what reaches the business.

No shortcuts. No bought links, no private blog networks, no keyword-stuffed pages. These work briefly and then cost you a recovery project. If a competitor is promising number one in thirty days, that’s what they’re selling.

What Reporting Looks Like

A monthly report covering:

  • Keyword positions for your target terms, and the direction they’re moving
  • Organic traffic by landing page, not just a single site total
  • Conversions and enquiries attributed to organic search
  • Technical issues found and fixed that month
  • What we did, what it changed, and what’s planned next

Written in plain language. If a report needs explaining, it’s a bad report.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before SEO works?
Meaningful movement typically takes [3–6 months], and competitive terms can take longer. Technical fixes sometimes show results within weeks; content and authority take time. Anyone promising fast rankings is either targeting worthless keywords or doing something that will get you penalised.

Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and neither can anyone else — Google doesn’t sell that. What we can commit to is a clear plan, visible work every month, and honest reporting.

Do you also write the content?
Yes. Content and SEO work best together, so we handle both — or work alongside your existing writer with keyword briefs and structure.

What if my site has been penalised or dropped suddenly?
We diagnose first: algorithm update, manual action, technical change or lost links all look similar from the outside and need different fixes.

Do I need local SEO?
If you serve customers in specific areas, yes — Google Business Profile and local signals often move the needle faster than anything else.

Do you work month to month?
SEO needs continuity, so we usually recommend a minimum [3–6 month] commitment. One-off audits are available separately with no ongoing obligation.
